Rockin For The Cure 2015A Special Thank you,

Rockin For The Cure was a giant success, thank you everyone who attended, organized, volunteered, sponsored, and worked the event.  Thanks to the AWESOME entertainers who donated their time and ROCKED THE HOUSE, some even traveled a long distance just to donate their time. If there is anyone I did not mention, my apologies….

As I look through the Facebook comments I see so many kind words to our organizers, but there is one person who deserves an enormous amount of credit, her name is Carole McCarron, she is the one who put this amazing event in motion, if it weren’t for, her Rockin For The Cure, the biggest event of 2015 would have never happened.

Thank you Carole for allowing the us to work with you and be a part of this amazing day!

Let’s all give Carole a giant THANK YOU!

Carole, we know you didn’t do this for personal gain and don’t get mad at me for putting the spotlight on you, your RFTC Team Members think YOU ROCK!

EVENT: Rockin’ for the Cure! Reunion Fundraiser
DATE: Sunday, February 15, 2015
TIME: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
LOCATION: The Philadelphia Ballroom
2014 Hornig Road.
Philadelphia, PA 19116

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 14 million people globally learn they have cancer each year. On February 15, 2015, Rockin’ for the Cure! Reunion Fundraiser will host a sold-out reunion concert to raise money for the NCCN Foundation®.

Initiated as an employee reunion, Rockin’ for the Cure! has grown to more than 700 expected attendees. Proceeds from the event will benefit local not-for-profit organizations, including the NCCN Foundation.

“Rockin’ for the Cure! started with a few Facebook posts from employees of The Barn Night Club and Roosevelt’s, two very popular clubs that no longer exist,” said Matthew Costello, one of the event’s lead organizers. “In matter of days, three employees and two very popular band leaders, who have done a great deal of fundraising in the past, took this simple get-together and turned it into Rockin’ for the Cure. Our goal was for people to have fun and help raise money for cancer research. We never expected it to grow this fast, and we are already talking about next year’s event!”

Located in Fort Washington, PA, the NCCN Foundation publishes patient-friendly educational resources to help people with cancer and their caregivers navigate through screening, diagnosis, and treatment and empower them to make informed treatment decisions. These resources, NCCN Guidelines for Patients®, are available for 14 cancer types free-of-charge at NCCN.org/patients.
